Denomination<\/strong>Marche Rosso IGT<\/p>\n

Grape varieties<\/strong>indigenous red-berry grape varieties of the San Severino Marche area and traditional to Central Italy.<\/p>\n

Vineyards<\/strong>The vineyards from which the grapes for \u201cLe C\u00e0gnore\u201d come are all located on the estate\u2019s land in Cagnore, in the municipality of San Severino Marche. The average age is around 35 years. The training system is spur-pruned cordon.<\/p>\n

Grape harvest<\/strong>The grape harvest is strictly carried out by hand in small perforated crates.<\/p>\n

Winemaking<\/strong>The grapes, destemmed and lightly crushed, are transferred by gravity to the underground winemaking facilities, where they ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for a period of about 20 days. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages for about 12 months in stainless steel tanks, where continuous b\u00e2tonnage is carried out until bottling.<\/p>\n

Refinement<\/strong>In stainless steel tanks for approximately 12 months, 6 months in bottle.<\/p>\n

Pairings<\/strong>Ciauscolo and cheeses, meat pasta courses, roast and porchetta grills.<\/p>\n

It originates from a blend of typical red grape varieties from the San Severino Marche area: here, the combination of modern winemaking techniques and local ancient traditions leads to a unique wine in which the typicity of Vernaccia Nera is linked to the elegance of Sangiovese and the structure of Montepulciano.<\/p>\n

From the careful choice of blending Vernaccia Nera with Montepulciano and Sangiovese comes \u201cLe C\u00e0gnore\u201d, a wine that expresses the style and personality of native grapes, alongside the complexity and aromatic profile of traditional central Italian red grapes.<\/p>\n

It is named after the Cagnore hamlet in San Severino Marche, where the winery and its historic vineyards are located, to honour the place that hosts it.<\/p>\n
